Tamar has been teaching Pilates in Bay Area since 2002. More recently she completed The Pilates Advanced training, a two year long 900+ training in classical Pilates.
Through her years of experience and dedication to continued education, Tamar has developed a skillful eye which allows her to analyze her clients movements and potential to effectively design the right program for each individual.
Pilates and motherhood: Tamar uses Pilates specifically to support natural childbirth. She also specializes in prenatal and postpartum Pilates, supporting mothers on their journey toward childbirth and then helping them regain optimal movement, strength and physical health.
Tamar continues to study Pilates, movement education and functional movement. She has studied the work of the original Pilates teachers, Kathy Grant and Ron Fletcher, and she has also studied The Franklin Method with Eric Franklin.
Tamar’s repertoire of skills includes rehabilitation Pilates, having worked as a dance medicine specialist at the Center for Sports Medicine at O’Connor hospital in San Jose.
